How it works
Paste or upload
Text, a link to an article, a PDF, a Word file or a YouTube link. Guests can paste up to 20,000 characters.
Press Summarise
LoudGPT reads the whole thing, finds the structure and writes the summary in seconds.
Read it, listen to it, ask about it
Skim the key points, press play to hear the summary, or ask a question about the original and hear the answer.
What is an AI summarizer?
An AI summarizer is a tool that reads a piece of text and writes a shorter version that keeps the argument, the facts and the conclusions and drops the repetition. Older summary generators worked by picking sentences out of the original; AI summarizers use a language model that understands the text, so the summary reads as a piece of writing rather than a list of extracts. LoudGPT does the same, then adds what most tools leave out: it reads the summary aloud, and it can answer questions about the original out loud, so you can go deeper without going back to the text.
What people summarise
Articles and news
Paste a link. Get the point of the article in a paragraph, without reading the whole page.
Research papers and reports
Upload the PDF. Get the findings, the method and the caveats without reading forty pages.
Textbook chapters and readings
Course readings summarised into revision notes you can listen to before class.
Email threads and documents
Paste a long email thread or a report. Get what was decided, what changed and what needs a reply.
YouTube videos
Paste a YouTube link and get a summary of the video, the same one LoudGPT's free YouTube summarizer makes.
What you get
Every summary comes in the same shape: a TL;DR in one line, the key points and a paragraph summary, plus audio of the summary you can listen to. Then ask a question about the original and hear the answer.

AI summarizer questions
Is this AI summarizer free?
Yes. You can make three summaries a day without signing up, shared across all of LoudGPT's free tools, and paste up to 20,000 characters at a time. A free account for more is coming soon.
What can it summarise?
Pasted text, any article or web page by link, PDF and Word (.docx) files, and YouTube videos by link. Files are read on your device and never uploaded.
How accurate are AI summaries?
Good for getting the point of a text and deciding whether to read it in full. Summaries are AI-generated and can miss nuance or occasionally misstate a detail, so check anything important against the original.
What does a summary include?
A one-line TL;DR, a paragraph summary and the key points, with audio you can play. A YouTube video gets the video summary instead, in sections.
Can I listen to the summary instead of reading it?
Yes. Every summary has a play button and is read aloud. You can also ask a question about the original and hear the answer.
Can it summarise podcasts and YouTube videos?
YouTube videos, yes: paste the link on the YouTube tab. For podcast episodes, use LoudGPT's free podcast summarizer, listed under Other free tools.
Every article, in the time it takes to make coffee.
Paste the text or a link, press play, and hear what it said. Three free summaries a day, no account needed.
